Ils Trais Baritons Grischuns

The experience of the Tavolata musicale led Claudio Danuser to a different project with a similar goal; together with two baritone colleagues and a pianist from the Canton of the Grisons, he founded the ensemble Ils Trais Baritons Grischuns. Besides offering the Italian ‘hits’ such as ‘O sole mio’ that have been well-nigh obligatory since the ‘Three Tenors’, they also aim to make better known the Rumansh and Italian repertoire from the Grisons through offering it in arrangements for three baritones. Since all three singers received their vocal training in Italy, they also sing ensembles for deep voices from the Italian operatic repertoire.

Where they differ from the numerous similar ensembles that today go on tour, they sing exclusively in the three languages of the Grisons, namely Rumansh, Italian and German, and they avoid all the current song-and-dance forms that are Anglo-Saxon in origin. But whoever would like to enjoy big, natural voices that need no amplification will find what they want with this ensemble.

The Trais Baritons Grischuns have performed in 5-star hotels such as the Waldhaus Sils, Suvretta House in St. Moritz and at prominent events inside and outside the Grisons, and were guests on Swiss national TV in a show about the Prättigau and Davos entitled ‘Fensterplatz’.
